Applying gender equity two-day workshop

This two-day workshop for emerging primary prevention practitioners will support you to:

• understand primary prevention of gendered violence and explore the gendered drivers of violence
• explore examples of primary prevention in action
• unpack the role of power and privilege
• understand how to apply intersectionality to primary prevention initiatives
• explore backlash and resistance
• implement a gender impact assessment of your work. Please bring along a piece of work you are currently contributing to, to apply your new learning to practice.

Intended audience: emerging primary prevention practitioners including people working in diversity and inclusion, community development or engagement roles, teachers and educators, human resources professionals, healthcare workers, and more.

Time commitment: this is a two-day course, running 9:30 am – 4:30 pm each day (inclusive of breaks). Please note that attendance is required at both days.
