This interactive training presents a framework for working with complex trauma clients, drawing on current research in trauma theory and therapy, attachment, affective neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology. It explores the importance of a phased approach for complex trauma clients with a primary focus on Phase 1 Safety and Stabilisation.
It provides essential knowledge and tools to enhance practice and possibilities for recovery for complex trauma clients who experience challenges around adaptive coping strategies, arousal, emotional regulation, attachment and safety.

Who should attend?
This training is designed for practitioners who work in a therapeutic relationship with people who have experienced complex trauma. Psychologists, clinical psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists, psychiatrists and social workers in a counselling role.
To attend this training participants should have a developed knowledge base in the foundations of complex trauma, this will not be covered in this session.
