2024 Australasian Melanoma Conference
Hosted by Melanoma Institute Australia
Hosted by The Nurses For Nurses Network
Assessment is a key component in wound management and the first step to enable wound care planning. We begin this session by exploring the physical, psychological and social factors that may impact wound healing before looking at wound assessment in detail as part of the interactive workshop.
We will explore different approaches to assessment, including wound measurement and photography. These are key communication strategies for the team of staff working with the client.
The second part of this workshop focuses on wound planning for best healing outcomes – what do you need, who is part of the team, and how do we achieve this?
