Hamilton Harbour Medical Centre - Medical receptionist

Our growing and vibrant practice is looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated medical receptionist to join our friendly team. The position offered is on a casual basis working two-three days per week. This role is available to start immediately.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • providing high quality customer service to our patients, doctors and nurses
  • strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and work under pressure
  • uphold a calm and efficient environment for reception duties
  • excellent attention to detail
  • adherence to privacy and confidentiality
  • excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred characteristics:

  • highly motivated individual who can manage with a wide range of personality types
  • be warm, welcoming, and deliver excellent customer service skill
  • well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • likes to work unsupervised within a close-knit team for support and assistance

Minimum Requirements:

  • a current Perform CPR Statement of Attainment (or the ability to obtain)
  • Best Practice experience is preferred but not required

We are a small but growing busy practice so ideally the person we are looking for will be able to multi-task, work independently, cover sick leave at short notice and cover annual leave. As the practice grows hours may increase.
