Family Plus Medical Practice - Medical receptionist

We are a new general practice seeking a part time medical receptionist to join our team. We provide a professional, respectful and enjoyable work environment for the successful candidate. We are supported by a principal clinician, practice manager, visiting specialists, nursing staff and onsite pathology.


As our medical receptionist, you always exemplify excellent customer service and communication skills when dealing with patients as well as astute administrative skills to support doctors and practice staff.


Our practice will require you part time Monday to Friday between 08.00am to 5.00pm. As the clinic grows, there will be optional evenings or weekends available.


Your core responsibilities will include:


  • providing our patients with an exceptional experience
  • answering incoming calls and scheduling appointments with follow up phone calls as needed
  • administering billing, receipting and data management
  • liaising with and supporting our doctors and practice staff as needed

It is essential that you possess:


  • acute customer service and communication skills with an abundance of enthusiasm, energy and initiative
  • proficient computer and organisational capability in order to multi-task, prioritise and thrive in busy environments
  • previous GP experience and familiarity with Best Practice software will be highly regarded
