Anita has over 30 years’ experience in the primary care sector as a general practitioner and in the tertiary care sector with Queensland Health. She has a long-term commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education for medical and allied health professionals, and is involved in teaching and research at The University of Queensland. She was the Chief Medical Officer for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and a member of the medical team for the Australian Paralympic Team at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

Anita has over 25 years’ experience as a director on multidisciplinary not for profit boards in the health sector and is currently Chair of Cancer Council Queensland. She has been a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors since 2004.
