Community clinic boosts vaccine coverage in vulnerable Kilcoy region

Last month Brisbane North PHN coordinated the second in a series of community vaccine clinics for vulnerable communities in our region – this one at Kilcoy.

Kilcoy, located in the Somerset Regional Council catchment, was identified by Queensland Health as an area of low coverage and need in regards to fly and COVID vaccination.

Together with QuIHN, the PHN administered 20 COVID, flu and pneumonia vaccines for 15 residents who attended the clinic at the Kilcoy Visitor Information Centre across the course of the day.

Patients were provided with a café voucher from the locally owned and operated Yowie Coffee van who supported the drive.
