About us
We work with others to create and deliver the best possible health and community care system for the people of our region.
Join Brisbane North PHN’s People Bank to share your experiences and help improve the health of people living in our region!

Brisbane North PHN is an organisation which aims to provide better access to healthcare and to improve the health and wellbeing of our community. However, we cannot do this on our own. We need to hear from a range of community members to make sure we support services that fill gaps in our health services.
People Bank is a register of individuals who would like to make healthcare better for people living in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, Moreton Bay, parts of Somerset Regional Council and Norfolk Island.
As a member of People Bank, you will have the opportunity to participate and have your say in activities such as:
People Bank members will be contacted by email with opportunities to get involved. Members can choose which activities they would like to participate in.
Join People Bank to share your experiences, thoughts and ideas to make health services better for everyone in our community. Your voice is important and will help us to understand things that make access to health services hard for you, or someone you care for. What is working well (or not) at a health service you use, and ideas for improvements.

Yes, participation in most activities will receive a payment, except for completing surveys. Each activity will list the expected payment in the expression of interest.
We would like to hear about your own experiences—or the experiences of people you care for—when receiving healthcare, and how we can make it better. No formal education is needed to participate in activities.
Activities vary in format. Some may be held in person, others online through Teams or Zoom. This will be confirmed in the expression of interest.
The time commitment varies. Some activities, like a once off focus group may only run for a couple of hours. Others, such as being on a panel may run for several hours each week for a few months. Membership on a committee might involve a couple of hours every few months over a period of two or more years.
This will depend on the activity. Some activities will only require the time attending. Some may involve preparation, including pre-reading, for example. You will be given appropriate notice to prepare.
The People Bank registration form provides an opportunity for you to tell us about yourself. It is important that we collect this information, so we only contact you with opportunities that you can participate in.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians within our region: the Jagera, Turrbal, Gubbi Gubbi, Waka Waka and the Ningy Ningy peoples of where we meet, work and learn. Brisbane North PHN is committed to reconciliation. Our vision for reconciliation is where the stories of our First Nations’ people are heard and shared, and networks are formed.
