We are all vulnerable to cyber attacks – the latest threat report details how you can protect your business.

The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) recently released its Cyber Threat Report for 2022-2023 which provides an overview of the cyber threats facing Australia. The report notes a significant increase in malicious cyber activity in terms of frequency, cost, and severity compared to the previous year. The added complexity posed by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) was also highlighted in the report.

We recommend reviewing the report, paying attention to analysis related to your industry and using any significant changes to inform your cyber security risk assessment process.

The Australian Signals Directorate encourages charities and not-for-profit organisations to take action to protect their online systems and have advice for Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits, including a Cyber Security Checklist for Charities and Not-for-Profits. The checklist can help charities and non-profits improve their cyber security through easy to follow and implement steps and links to best practice advice.
