Health Alliance comes together to tackle system wide issues

The Health Alliance is the ongoing, joint commitment of Metro North Health and Brisbane North PHN to tackling system barriers to provide an integrated system of care that delivers quality health outcomes closer to home.

The Health Alliance is governed by a Joint Board Committee which works strategically to break down barriers in healthcare in North Brisbane and across the Moreton Bay Region by providing a platform for health innovation, where patient-centred ideas and initiatives are developed, tested, and evaluated.

Earlier this month, the Joint Board Committee came together to discuss a range of priority issues, including collectively providing implementable advice to the review of the National Health Reform Agreement, and the development of a shared care "healthcare neighbourhood" model as a framework for further service design between the PHN and HHS.

The committee also heard from yourtown on the data supporting a need to review how services are funded by government agencies for children and families in the Caboolture region and discussed practical next steps in developing a collective impact approach to address complex social determinants.
