Last month, Brisbane North PHN hosted the Palliative Care Dinner, bringing health professionals from GPs, pharmacists and nurses together for a mutually beneficial education and networking event.

The evening was the first in a series of four events that the PHN are facilitating aimed at building the knowledge, skills, confidence and networks of GPs and community pharmacists to support at home palliative care.

All event participant respondents said they would recommend the event to colleagues, and 75 per cent indicated that they would make changes to their practice as a result of attending.

Brisbane North PHN are committed to seeking and using attendee insights to improve future education events and inform further professional development opportunities.

The program was RACGP and APC accredited for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes.
