Common Challenges in Primary Care: Spirometry solutions workshop

Metro North Health and Brisbane North PHN invite GPs to join your general practice colleagues and Director of Thoracic Medicine, Dr Hervey Lau, for an evening of education.

• We all know how important spirometry is for quality respiratory healthcare BUT tighter standards and limited rebates make it harder for General Practices to provide this.

• GPs in the Brisbane North PHN region report difficulty accessing affordable and timely spirometry for their patients.

• Spirometry rates fell by 41 per cennt in Queensland from 2015/16-2022/23 (Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care).

We need more information to help determine the best solutions. Come and contribute your expertise and experiences to help us understand this issue further and help identify potential, implementable solutions.
