Immediate outbreak response for providers of aged care

If a staff member or care recipient in the North Brisbane region becomes positive with COVID-19, or an exposure occurs at a facility, the provider must notify the following for assistance:

The Australian Government Department of Health by completing the COVID-19 Outbreak or Exposure notification form located on the COVID-19 support portal, accessed through the My Aged Care portal.

Information on COVID-19 outbreaks and exposures by a provider, assists in the provision of appropriate support to manage and respond.

Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for Residential Aged Care

The COVID-19 in a RACF: Overview and flowchart was jointly developed by a State and Commonwealth working group to help ensure Queensland can mobilise quickly and effectively in response to a COVID-19 case in an aged care facility.
