James St Medical - Medical receptionist

Casual | approximately 16 hours per week | immediate start

We are looking for a friendly, professional and patient-focused medical receptionist to join our welcoming team at James St Medical.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in providing a warm and professional experience while supporting our doctors, nurses and practice team.

About the role

• welcoming patients and managing reception
• answering phones and scheduling appointments
• processing Medicare, private billing and payments
• managing patient enquiries and administrative tasks
• supporting our doctors and nurses
• maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
• contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• has previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience
• is warm, professional and genuinely enjoys helping people
• has excellent communication and organisational skills
• can confidently manage a busy reception environment
• works well as part of a team
• has strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Experience with Best Practice software is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right applicant.
