Stride Mental Health - Mental Health Clinician

Brisbane MIND – Kilcoy, under the leadership of Stride, is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to provide short-term psychological therapies for people with mild to moderate mental illness.

The Brisbane MIND – Kilcoy program is funded by Brisbane North Primary Health Network (PHN) to service those in the regional areas of the Brisbane North catchment. The program is delivered in Kilcoy and is remotely supported by Stride Hub Caboolture.

Based in Kilcoy, QLD this is a part-time position for 1 day per week (0.2 FTE), for a fixed term to 30 June 2025.

The role offers excellent training and development, reflective practice supervision and a supportive team environment.

Requirements:

• must have one of the following - full AHPRA registration as a psychologist, clinical psychologist, occupational therapist or mental health nurse, OR AASW registration as a social worker
• knowledge and skills gained through qualifications and previous experience in a mental health service delivery environment
• proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planning
• sound understating of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
• demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness
• demonstrated skills in organisation and time management, including the ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks
• excellent verbal communication and writing skills
• proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
• must hold/ be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
