Redcliffe parade family medical practice - Practice nurse

An exciting opportunity to join a well established general practice located in Redcliffe.

Our family owned practice aims to provide high quality patient care within a team environment.

We are seeking a general practice registered nurse with excellent organisational, communication and clinical skills to join the team on a part-time or casual basis and be able to cover sick / holiday leave. Full time could be negotiated.

Our practice values teamwork and collaboration, so we will expect the ideal candidate to be flexible and be willing to work with and support the practice team.

Key responsibilities including but not limited to:

• chronic disease management
• health assessments
• wound management
• ECG/Spirometry/ABI
• treatment room and stock control
• immunisations and cold chain management
• infection control
• triage – over the phone and in person
• vaccination administration.

The successful candidate will have:

• current registration with AHPRA
• hold a registered nurse qualification
• be committed to ongoing training
• always maintain patient and staff confidentiality
• have the ability to work in a team environment or autonomously, where necessary
• have previous experience in general practice
• have knowledge of Best Practice (advantage but not essential)
