Karina Smith
Karina's session will focus on human-centred design practices, exploring new ways of working that drive meaningful change in healthcare by including the many people involved in shaping, delivering and receiving services.

An award winning strategic-design leader with over 15 years of experience, Karina has worked with leading global corporations, all tiers of governmentand social enterprises across the technology, healthcare, policy and not-for-profit sectors, leading more than 100 research, design, and technology programs. Her strength lies in uncovering what's at the heart of the opportunity, and engaging deep within organisations, communities and customers, bringing them together to navigate the complexity for meaningful, impactful, change.
As a design educator, Karina collaborates with teams to build robust strategic design capabilities, foster human-centred cultures that empower organisations to evolve and thrive, and embed insight-led, collaborative approaches into the existing processes and fabric of the organisation.
