Brisbane North PHN has launched People Bank—an initiative designed to encourage more community members to share their experiences in order to improve the health of people living in our region.

With being informed and led by community as a key goal of the PHN, to achieve this, People Bank has been developed to provide opportunities to hear and respond to diverse lived and living experiences of accessing local health services.
People Bank is a register that allows individuals who would like to make healthcare better for people living in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, Moreton Bay, parts of Somerset Regional Council and Norfolk Island to sign up. By signing up, members will be notified of relevant opportunities to participate in various activities that help shape PHN initiatives. These include:
Brisbane North PHN Board Member and Community Advisory Committee Chair Kathy Campbell said People Bank is an important mechanism for identifying community needs.
‘Diverse community voices and representation are vital in ensuring we meet the vision of the PHN—a community where good health is available for everyone,' Kathy said.
‘People Bank will provide an opportunity for community members to share their lived/living experiences to help us commission health services that are most needed.
‘While the PHN conducts thorough community needs assessments and consultations, People Bank will allow for an increased sample size of individuals and enable more voices to be heard.
’People Bank is intended to sit alongside the PHN’s existing Community Advisory Committee by providing greater community representation when planning, designing and evaluating health services intended to fill gaps in the community.'
Registration takes five minutes and can be completed using this online form.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians within our region: the Jagera, Turrbal, Gubbi Gubbi, Waka Waka and the Ningy Ningy peoples of where we meet, work and learn. Brisbane North PHN is committed to reconciliation. Our vision for reconciliation is where the stories of our First Nations’ people are heard and shared, and networks are formed.
