The Australian HR Awards is the premier independent program recognising the nation’s leading HR professionals, teams and employers. Each year, it honours excellence in performance, innovation and leadership across the HR industry.
Brisbane North PHN’s selection as a finalist reflects its commitment to building an outstanding workplace culture—one based on continuous, open engagement with staff as well as a commitment to continuous improvement. This has resulted in a high-trust, people-centred culture, where 88 per cent of staff rate Brisbane North PHN as a ‘truly great place to work’.
This commitment to continuous improvement has in the past three years seen Brisbane North PHN:
Brisbane North PHN Executive Manager – People, Culture and Communications, Samantha McGilvery, said the nomination reflects the PHN’s strong workplace culture and the people who bring it to life every day.
‘That feedback is crucial because it helps us continue building an environment where our people feel supported and empowered to do work that makes a meaningful difference in our community.
‘This nomination belongs to every member of the Brisbane North PHN team. It reflects the culture we’ve created together and the commitment our people show every day in supporting one another, our stakeholders and our purpose.’

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians within our region: the Jagera, Turrbal, Gubbi Gubbi, Waka Waka and the Ningy Ningy peoples of where we meet, work and learn.
