Community Advisory Committee

Our CAC is a key forum to bring together diverse perspectives across a range of population groups, playing an essential role by assisting the PHN with strategic input, planning and communications.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from young people aged 18-25 to ensure broader representation, however, all ages are encouraged to apply.

The successful applicants will have:

  • a deep understanding of one or more of the PHN’s priority areas:
    • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
    • older persons
    • people living with mental illness
    • people living with disabilities
    • children
    • culturally and linguistically diverse communities
    • refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds
    • people who identify as LGBTIQA+
    • people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
    • people experiencing domestic and family violence
  • the ability to articulate and communicate those needs
  • a consumer (lived experience) perspective to broader strategic conversations
  • the ability to engage constructively in a committee environment or willingness to learn.

We are seeking new members to join us for our last meeting of the year, to be held on Wednesday 28 October 2026.
