On Wednesday 19 November 2025, the Health Alliance, an initiative of Brisbane North PHN and Metro North Health, brought together community providers from across the Moreton Bay region for a cross-sector workshop focused on strengthening support for children with developmental delay.
The event drew a wide range of stakeholders from health, education, early childhood and community services. Together, participants explored what is and isn’t working within the local child development system and worked to identify practical, collective actions that could improve outcomes for children and families.
At the end of the session, participants were invited to provide anonymous feedback on whether continuing to progress as a collective was the right direction for the region. In a strong show of support, every respondent agreed.
Participants also took part in a vote to consider a potential name for the emerging initiative. Caboolture Kids Collective received the highest number of votes and will now be presented to community consumers for further feedback.
The Health Alliance will continue collaborating with partners to build on the priorities identified during the workshop, with the next phase of co-design and planning set to begin soon.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians within our region: the Jagera, Turrbal, Gubbi Gubbi, Waka Waka and the Ningy Ningy peoples of where we meet, work and learn. Brisbane North PHN is committed to reconciliation. Our vision for reconciliation is where the stories of our First Nations’ people are heard and shared, and networks are formed.
