Free telehealth exercise physiology program for females in the menopausal transition
UNSW
This UNSW-led study is evaluating a free telehealth exercise physiology program for females in the menopausal transition. Participants receive five individual consultations with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist over 12 months, with a focus on physical activity, exercise education, and behaviour change support.
The study aims to determine whether this model of care can be successfully integrated into GP-led menopause management and improve physical activity participation and quality of life.
Women aged 38–55 years who are seeking GP management for menopause may be eligible. A GP referral is required to confirm that participation in an exercise program is appropriate and to support coordination with the participant's usual healthcare.
We are seeking support to promote this research opportunity to GPs, who can refer eligible patients, as well as to women in the menopausal transition who may be interested in participating and can discuss the study with their GP to obtain a referral.
