Have your say on what and how health services should tell people about the use of AI writing tools

Transparency in AI Project Research Team, Canberra Health Services

Health services across Australia are increasingly using artificial intelligence (AI) writing tools to draft, edit, simplify and translate health information for patients, carers and families. We are inviting healthcare consumers, carers and family members, and health service staff aged 18 years and over to complete a short anonymous survey about what health services should tell people when AI is used to create or modify health information. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Findings will help inform the co-design of practical resources to support transparency, accountability and trust when AI is used in healthcare communication. The project is supported by the Canberra Hospitals Foundation Deborah Rolfe AM Perpetual Grant for Research and brings together consumer and carer research partners, clinicians, researchers and university academics. Consumer and carer research partners have been involved throughout the project, helping improve the survey's accessibility, readability and relevance. Go to survey
