Ms Jody Currie

Jody has held Senior Executive roles in the area of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander early childhood education, health and human service delivery, and is an advocate for improving service accessibility to vulnerable communities. Since attaining her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Gender Studies in her twenties, Jody embarked on her career in health and human service delivery. Jody is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and currently a Non-Executive Director on the Hearing Australia Board.

Jody has worked in a number of senior executive positions in both the Non Government and Government sector, including the Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council, Apunipima Cape York Health Council and the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health.

Jody is currently the Chief Executive Officer at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane (ATSICHS Brisbane). ATSICHS Brisbane is a large diverse health, early childhood education, child protection, housing/homelessness and human service provider to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the Brisbane and Logan region including a Primary Health Clinic at Northgate and a Family Wellbeing and Youth service at Chermside .
