Brisbane North PHN Board Directors and providers come together for annual provider evening
23 July 2026Brisbane North PHN Board Directors welcomed commissioned service providers to its annual provider evening on 22 July 2026, bringing together partners from across the region to reflect on achievements, discuss current challenges and opportunities, and explore future priorities for improving health outcomes for our community.
Held at Brisbane North PHN’s Chermside office, the evening was a valuable opportunity for Board Directors to hear directly from providers about the impact their services are having, with thousands of people across our region having better access to care, closer to home, as a result of their PHN-commissioned services and programs.

The annual provider evening reinforces the importance of collaboration between Brisbane North PHN and its commissioned providers, ensuring local services remain responsive to community needs and focused on delivering better health outcomes for people across the region.
Brisbane North PHN Board Chair Jane Schmitt noted that collaboration remains central to Brisbane North PHN’s approach to commissioning and improving access to care.
‘Collaboration is one of our core values at Brisbane North PHN. As a commissioning organisation, it is essential that we work together—with providers, lived experience representatives, government partners and importantly, community—to achieve our shared goals,’ she said.
‘We are not just here tonight because we are connected by service delivery and contracts, but because each of us is grounded in partnership and a commitment to better health outcomes for our community.’
The event also provided an opportunity to introduce early discussions around a Health Neighbourhoods approach, which aims to strengthen place-based planning and commissioning across the region by better understanding the unique needs of local communities and supporting more coordinated, connected care.
As the evening concluded, attendees were thanked for their significant impact over the past 12 months, their dedication to creating a more connected health system, and for helping achieve Brisbane North PHN’s vision of a community where good health is available to all.
