Connected Care team steps up for Dementia Australia’s Memory Walk & Jog

On Saturday 6 June 2026, five members of Brisbane North PHN’s Connected Care team laced up their joggers and joined Dementia Australia’s Memory Walk & Jog.

With sunny weather and more than 800 participants taking part, Dementia Australia's Memory Walk & Jog was a wonderful show of community spirit and a meaningful way to support people impacted by dementia.

Together, Brisbane North PHN’s Connected Care team raised $2,339 to help fund vital services and supports for people living with dementia and their loved ones. Funds raised through Memory Walk & Jog help Dementia Australia provide counselling, support groups, education and research.

As recognised in the Joint Regional Needs Assessment, dementia remains a high-priority health need in the North Brisbane and Moreton Bay region, with significant barriers to accessing timely care, and education needed for both health professionals and community. Events like this not only raise needed funds but also shine a spotlight on the importance of accessible support, greater awareness and ongoing investment in dementia care.
