Initial Assessment and Referral - Decision Support Tool

Brisbane North PHN is now holding training sessions to help GPs, GP Registrars, psychiatrists, psychologists, practice nurses, mental health nurses, allied health professionals, acute care team clinicians, headspace intake staff, supervised non-clinical intake, triage, low intensity or peer staff understand how to use the IAR decision support tool.

GPs and GP Registrars will receive $300 reimbursement and CPD points once the training is completed.

The two hour training session will cover:

• stepped care
• the initial assessment and referral process
• the domains, levels of care, and decision support tool
• practice activity
• discussion and reflection from groups
• overview of adaptations for different population groups
• overview of referral pathways in Brisbane North PHN
• overview of the RediCASE GP Integrator
• overview of Head to Health in Brisbane North PHN
