Are you working with older Australians in community or home-based aged care?
This free, practical full-day workshop will build your confidence and skills to identify and respond to alcohol and other drug (AOD) related harm in older clients.
Alcohol and other drug use among older Australians is a growing but often an overlooked concern. Older people face unique risks – including interactions with medications, chronic disease, and falls – that make early identification and supportive conversations particularly important.
This workshop will help you:
The training is delivered by experienced clinical educators and is designed specifically for workers in community and home-based aged care settings. No prior AOD knowledge is required.
All workshops have limited capacity to maximise learning and engagement.
This project is funded by the Queensland Government through the Queensland Mental Health Commission.
