Training opportunity: managing wounds in primary health care

B​risbane North PHN, in collaboration with Benchmarque, is offering a fully funded training program: Managing Wounds in Primary Health Care. This program provides clinicians with an evidence-based framework to assess and manage a variety of wounds, while also focusing on client-centred education and care.

​Participants will build practical skills to support effective wound management in primary care, improving patient outcomes through timely and appropriate treatment.

Learning outcomes

Participants will:

• ​assess, manage, and apply wound management techniques in primary healthcare
• ​demonstrate knowledge of wound management products and appropriate application
• ​obtain compliant wound swab cultures using best practice methods
• ​apply management strategies, client-centred education, and provide advice on wound care
• ​assess and manage wounds across a range of clinical settings.

This year, Brisbane North PHN is sponsoring 12 participants to attend (T&Cs apply). Practices are kindly asked to nominate one staff member to attend. During the selection process, we will consider available spaces, your practice needs and location to ensure a fair and balanced distribution of opportunities across our region.
