Webinar: Multicultural Palliative and End of Life Care
Hosted by Palliative Care Queensland
Hosted by Palliative Care Queensland
Join the Palliative Care Queensland webinar, "Multicultural Palliative and End of Life Care," featuring Lorella Piazzetta, Senior Cultural Diversity Coordinator from the Health, Equity and Access Team at Metro South Health, along with another expert guest speaker.
Together, they will share their knowledge and insights on providing culturally sensitive palliative and end-of-life care. The webinar will explore key topics such as understanding diverse cultural perspectives on care, effective communication strategies, and how to ensure patients and their families receive compassionate, culturally appropriate support during this critical stage of life.
Palliative Care Queensland believe that palliative care is everybody’s business, and we aim to build compassionate communities around people and their families experiencing serious illness, dying, death and grief. This webinar is designed for all members of the community including both health and non-health related workers (i.e., healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, social workers, allied health staff, health administrative staff, spiritual care workers, health managers, health educators, pharmacists and paramedics). We also encourage people from diverse backgrounds to attend.
Free for people living/working in the North Brisbane and Moreton Bay region ($10.00 general admission, $8.00 concession)

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians within our region: the Jagera, Turrbal, Gubbi Gubbi, Waka Waka and the Ningy Ningy peoples of where we meet, work and learn. Brisbane North PHN is committed to reconciliation. Our vision for reconciliation is where the stories of our First Nations’ people are heard and shared, and networks are formed.
