Bracken Ridge Family Practice - Medical receptionist

We're seeking a highly motivated and professional medical receptionist to join our busy, patient focused practice. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate initiative and a practice approach to daily tasks.

About the role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in delivering a warm, welcoming, and efficient experience.

Your responsibilities will include:
- greeting and assisting patient with professionalism and empathy
- managing appointments, phone calls, and patient enquires
- processing billing and Medicare claims accurately
- supporting doctors and nurses with administrative tasks
- maintaining confidentiality and ensuring smooth daily clinic operations.


About you

You'll be someone who:
- has excellent communication and customer service skills
- can work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- show initiative, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- is organised, with strong attention to detail
- has prior experience in a medical or healthcare reception role (desirable)
- is confident using practice management software (e.g. Best Practice, Medical Director).
