Medical Receptionist – $25 – $35 per hour

Are you an organised, proactive, and mature individual looking to join a fast-paced healthcare environment? We are looking for a medical receptionist to join our collaborative, close-knit team of three practitioners.

What we’re looking for:

• a mature, quick thinker who remains calm under pressure
• strong organisational and multi-tasking skills
• excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team
• ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy environment
• medical reception experience preferred (but not essential) – must have experience managing multiple diaries
• familiarity with medical software (Hotdoc) and Medicare processes (preferred)
• a friendly, compassionate demeanour with a strong focus on patient service
• must have full working rights in Australia – temporary residents will not be considered, please do not apply
• would suit an individual who is used to working in a busy customer service environment.

Key responsibilities:

• welcoming and assisting patients with professionalism and care
• managing calls and emails, responding to queries, and scheduling appointments
• processing patient registrations, billing, and Medicare claims
• co-ordinating appointments and follow-ups with specialists, allied health professionals, and patients (including recalls)
• handling confidential medical information with discretion and professionalism
• adapting quickly to daily practice needs and prioritising tasks efficiently.
