Red Hill Doctors Surgery - Practice nurse

We are seeking a friendly and professional registered or endorsed enrolled nurse to join our team at our inner-city Northside practice on a casual basis. As a practice nurse, you will play a vital role in providing support to administration staff, healthcare providers and their patients. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding healthcare environment.

Must have general practice experience and confidence doing the following (but not limited to):

• triage of patients
• NIP and private vaccinations for adults and children
• ECGs –including 24-hour Holter and 24-hour BP Monitor
• spirometry
• wound care
• iron infusions
• sterilization of instruments
• assisting doctors with procedures
• all other aspects of general practice nursing including accreditation
• assisting reception staff with basic front desk operations
• knowledge using Best Practice software an advantage

Applicant must also have:

• excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a warm and professional manner
• strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
• works well within a team-based environment
• flexibility to relieve other nursing staff for sick and annual leave
