Karina Smith

An award winning strategic-design leader with over 15 years of experience, I’ve worked with leading global corporations, all tiers of government, and social enterprises, leading more than 100 research, design, and technology programs. My strength lies in uncovering what's at the heart of the opportunity, and engaging deep within organisations, communities and customers, bringing them together to navigate the complexity for meaningful, impactful, change. My work spans sectors such as technology, healthcare, policy, not-for-profi t, fi nancial services, and education, grounded in a deep understanding of psychology, design, and technology. As a design educator, I collaborate with teams to build robust strategic design capabilities, fostering human-centred cultures that empower organisations to evolve and thrive. I coach teams and leaders to embed insight-led, collaborative approaches into the existing processes and fabric of the organisation.
