Brisbane North PHN Clinicians’ Advisory Group (CAG) welcomes three new local general practitioners to the committee.

The CAG brings together a representative group of clinical stakeholders from across the metro north catchment to advise and help shape the development of new initiatives, strategies and projects that will have impact on the delivery of patient care. The purpose of this group is to provide advice from a Clinicians’ perspective on relevant programs and projects undertaken by the PHN, researchers, Metro North Health and other groups.

The first new CAG member is Dr Colin Davis from Kenmore Family Medical Practice. Dr Davis’ personal interest areas in general practice include preventative health, chronic disease management, musculoskeletal medicine, procedural medicine and medical education. He also works as a surgical assistant in the private hospital system and supports medical students attached to his practice.

Dr NelumDharmapriya is from Narangba Doctors representing the northern end of our catchment. Nelum is the lead GP and founder of Narangba Doctors where she works with six other doctors. She is passionate about general practice, with special interests in the management of chronic disease, mental health and women's health including all aspects of contraception.

Dr Rachael Lay from Albany Hills Radius Medical Centre recently established a respiratory clinic in the practice as a response to the COVID-19 outbreak. She oversaw the planning, logistics and implementation of the clinic as well as the fine tuning required once they went into operation. Dr Lay is currently studying a Master of Public Health through James Cook University.

Congratulations to our new CAG members.
