Brisbane North PHN is offering scholarships for 20 new students to undertake the Certificate IV in Medical Practice Assisting (MPA) program.
The MPA is available to health receptionists or health administrators that are working in a health practice or medical setting, wishing to expand their skills into a clinical arena. Medical Assistants are multi skilled team members of a health practice. They perform administrative tasks, front desk duties as well as a wide range of treatment room procedures.
The Medical Assistant role boosts the general practice workforce by freeing up practice nurses and GPs to use their higher level skills in complex patient care, preventative care, and chronic disease management. Watch this video on embedding and optimising a Medical Practice Assistant into General Practice for more information on the value a Medical Practice Assistant can bring to your practice.
Applicants will be required to submit an expression of interest (EOI) outlining why and how they would benefit from the training and provide evidence of support from their practice.
Please submit your EOI byFriday 25 June 2022.
