Mr Stan Macionis

Stan has held senior executive, CEO and Board roles in various industry sectors, including social services, health and aged care. His particular expertise has been in leadership of organisations undergoing transformation, including Queensland Corrections, Health Services Australia, Medibank Private and RSL Care.

As Managing Director of Health Services Australia (HSA), Stan led a period of organic growth and acquisitions to see HSA become the largest and most profitable occupational health business in Australia and facilitated a merger with Medibank Private where he took on the role of CEO of Medibank Health Solutions and joined the Medibank Private Executive Management Board. Upon leaving Medibank, Stan took up senior executive roles in the aged care sector, with Blue Care and then as CEO of RSL Care, where he commenced a significant change agenda.

Stan has a strong understanding of the broad health and aged care sectors and is committed to the development of an integrated health system through strategic initiatives aimed at improving the patient journey.

Stan is experienced in corporate governance and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors as well as the Australian Institute of Management. He was awarded the Centenary Medal for distinguished service to the health industry. He currently serves as a member of the Queensland Mental Health Review Tribunal and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency Nursing and Midwifery Board and is a non executive director of Clear Thinking Queensland, as well as Brisbane North PHN Governance Committee.
