Keperra Medical Centre is a busy general practice with a genuine team culture. Our GPs and nursing staff are fantastic to work alongside, and our reception team is friendly, close-knit, and always ready to support one another. It's a warm, welcoming environment where staff are valued and patients are well looked after. We're currently expanding our team and looking for a casual medical receptionist to join us.

The medical receptionist is the first point of contact for patients attending the practice, providing a professional and welcoming reception service while supporting the clinical team with day-to-day administrative operations.

Key duties

• greeting patients and managing appointment bookings
• answering telephone and email enquiries
• checking patients in and out, and managing waiting room flow
• processing billings
• maintaining patient records in line with privacy requirements
• liaising with GPs and nursing staff to support clinic operations
• general administrative support to the practice.

Selection criteria

• previous medical or allied health reception experience preferred
• proficiency with practice management software
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work calmly and accurately in a busy environment
• reliable, flexible, and able to work well within a team.
