The role

We are seeking an experienced medical practice business manager to lead the operational, financial, and administrative performance of our medical centres. This is a senior leadership role offering autonomy, influence, and the opportunity to drive measurable business outcomes across a multi-site healthcare group at Bribie Island. You will work closely with owners and senior clinicians to improve efficiency, profitability, compliance, and team capability, while supporting the organisation's ongoing growth.

Key responsibilities

• oversee daily operations across multiple medical centres, including patient flow, scheduling, and facilities
• drive performance improvement and profitability initiatives
• lead, mentor, and develop senior administrative staff and sub-leaders
• manage teams of 20+ staff across multiple sites with proven leadership capability
• manage financial operations including budgeting, billing oversight, payroll, and cost control
• ensure compliance with Medicare, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
• liaise with Medicare, PHNs, government bodies, and external partners
• identify and manage government grants and funding opportunities
• implement and optimise practice management and EMR systems
• support marketing and community engagement initiatives to grow patient demand.

What we're are looking for

A highly experienced healthcare management professional with strong commercial acumen and proven leadership capability.

• a degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications desirable)
• minimum five years' experience as a practice manager or senior healthcare operations leader
• strong knowledge of medical practice operations, accreditation, compliance, and Medicare systems
• demonstrated ability to improve business performance and profitability
• excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage complex environments
• must be an Australian citizen.
