Corrie Street Medical Clinic - Practice nurse

What we are looking for:

• ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• excellent communication skills with patients, their families and other members of the general practice team
• enthusiastic, experienced GP nurse
• experience with Medical Director Software is ideal
• current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse
• exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients, families and carers
• well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles
• strong commitment to quality patient care
• demonstrated professional reliability, motivation, initiative and flexibility
• be a good team player
• positive can do attitude

The candidate is expected to do both admin and clinical work:

Training will be provided in the following:

• reception support
• chronic disease management and health assessment
• childhood, general and travel immunisations
• COVID 19 immunisation
• ECG
• spirometry
• wound care management
• assisting with minor procedures
• sterilization
• experience in vaccine and cold chain management
  

We encourage candidates with no previous general practice experience as well to apply for this position. We have a full time registered nurse who can give hands on training in every aspect of general practice nursing role.
