We're commissioning two new Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (Medicare UCCs) in our region. Registrations of Interest (ROI) are now invited.

The Australian Government is investing in a further 50 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (Medicare UCCs) to ease pressure on hospital Emergency Departments and increase access to primary healthcare in our communities.
This measure will deliver a total of 137 Medicare UCCs nationwide as part of the 2025-2026 Budget commitment to strengthen Medicare and improve healthcare access and affordability for all Australians.
With funding from the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, Brisbane North PHN will establish two new Medicare UCCs in:
An initial Registration of Interest (ROI) process is being undertaken to allow interested and eligible local general practices, community health centres and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) an opportunity to review information before a formal Request for Tender process opens.
ROIs open Thursday 14 August 2025.
ROIs are invited until Monday 25 August at 9.00 am.
