ROIs now open

The Australian Government is investing in a further 50 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (Medicare UCCs) to ease pressure on hospital Emergency Departments and increase access to primary healthcare in our communities.

This measure will deliver a total of 137 Medicare UCCs nationwide as part of the 2025-2026 Budget commitment to strengthen Medicare and improve healthcare access and affordability for all Australians.

With funding from the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, Brisbane North PHN will establish two new Medicare UCCs in:

  • Brisbane Inner SA3 (north of the Brisbane River), or bordering suburbs
  • Narangba – Burpengary SA3, or bordering suburbs.

An initial Registration of Interest (ROI) process is being undertaken to allow interested and eligible local general practices, community health centres and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) an opportunity to review information before a formal Request for Tender process opens.
