Brisbane North PHN invites all community pharmacists in the PHN region to attend sessions that will cover:
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network and meet representatives from the industry.
Community pharmacies are vital to at-home palliative care. Without access to medication in the community, people with life-limiting conditions may be hospitalised to manage their symptoms. Pharmacists also play a vital role in supporting people with palliative care needs and their loved ones.
Many pharmacies experience barriers to supporting at home palliative care. This event is designed to help pharmacists care for their local community when supporting at home palliative care.
Sessions are aimed at community pharmacists however other interested pharmacy staff are welcome to register. Thanks to funding support from the Department of Health and Aged Care under the Greater Choice for At Home Palliative Care measure, this one-day education is offered with no cost to attendees.
