While prostheses are frequently a focus for lower limb amputees, people can benefit from a far broader range of assistive technologies. We take a deep dive into mobility aids (such as wheelchairs) and daily living aids, and specific adjustments and accessories for people with lower limb amputation. We note that other technologies such as home modifications, home automation and workplace accommodations can be of assistance and where to learn more about these.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians within our region: the Jagera, Turrbal, Gubbi Gubbi, Waka Waka and the Ningy Ningy peoples of where we meet, work and learn. Brisbane North PHN is committed to reconciliation. Our vision for reconciliation is where the stories of our First Nations’ people are heard and shared, and networks are formed.
