Assistive technology prescribers juggle growing demands, increasingly complex caseloads, and progressively more complicated technologies. Faced with these circumstances, we still need to maintain our ethics and integrity. Through examples such as fraudulent forms, prescription of powered mobility for persons with cognitive impairment, and kickbacks, we explore ethical principles such as professional conduct, protection of the public, dignity of risk, and least harm. Learn practical strategies to protect your integrity.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians within our region: the Jagera, Turrbal, Gubbi Gubbi, Waka Waka and the Ningy Ningy peoples of where we meet, work and learn. Brisbane North PHN is committed to reconciliation. Our vision for reconciliation is where the stories of our First Nations’ people are heard and shared, and networks are formed.
