Melanoma Scan is a growing and vibrant practice looking for two experienced, reliable and motivated medical receptionists to join our friendly team.

The position offered is on a casual basis supporting all three Melanoma Scan clinics at our Toombul, Mitchelton and Warner sites.

This role is available to start immediately.

Duties and responsibilities

• providing high quality customer service to our patients
• providing full support to our clinical team of doctors and nurses
• strong ability to multi-task whilst under pressure
• maintain a calm, efficient and professional work environment for reception duties.
• excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills
• understanding and adherence to strictly maintaining patient and practice privacy and confidentiality.

Preferred

• ability to liaise closely with patients, clinical staff and referring practitioners involved with the patient care and managing follow up appointments, including liaising effectively with management and other staff at the start and end of working days to maintain workflow and effective clinic functioning
• proven experience in managing reception duties in a timely and professional manner including minimising waiting times, answering telephone calls within an appropriate time and redirecting call or messages
• maintain a high level of client- practitioner satisfaction and the ability to convey a caring attitude by empathising with and supporting patients by anticipation and easing patients' anxieties, answering patients' questions and promptly attending to distressed patients
• proven track record of cooperative relationships with team members and the ability to communicate effectively with management, practitioners and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the clinic and to positively contribute to team problem solving
• COVID vaccination mandatory, as well as willingness to keep up to date with all other immunizations
• medical receptionist experience will be favoured but not essential. All our clinics use Best Practice Software
• must be Australian citizen or Permanent Resident.
