Nundah Doctors Surgery - Medical receptionist

We are looking for casual staff to join our team. Start in two to three weeks.


Your main responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • welcoming and greeting patients, their families, staff and visitors in a prompt, welcoming and helpful manner, both in person and on the telephone.
  • managing files and patient information to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • liaising with all patients, visitors, external companies and all practitioners/staff in a professional, respectful and courteous manner
  • collecting, organising and redistributing any incoming communications (phone, fax, mail, email) promptly and to the appropriate persons
  • undertaking scanning, faxing, importing and photocopying tasks when required
  • maintaining a well organised, clean, efficient and confidential workspace and assisting with end of day tidying, restocking and cleaning.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • excellent communication and exceptional customer service skills
  • ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • ability to follow instructions and meet set standards
  • excellent computer
  • working knowledge of Best Practice at least 1 years experienced
  • an understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule an advantage but not essential
  • ability to multitask
  • up to date COVID vaccinations and all other immunisation history
  • current CPR certificate
  • available to start work at 7.15am
  • able to finish at approx. 5.30pm
  • Monday to Friday
