Lutwyche Family Practice - Practice nurse

Permanent full-time preferred | permanent part-time considered | Monday–Friday | $45–$50 per hour + super

Lutwyche Family Practice is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a hands-on clinical leadership role.

We are an established, accredited, mixed-billing practice at HomeCo. Lutwyche. Independently owned and led by two principal GPs, we offer the opportunity to make a visible contribution without layers of corporate management.

About the role

Working closely with our Practice Manager and principal GPs, you will lead and support our small nursing team while remaining actively involved in patient care. You will shape nursing systems, strengthen preventive and chronic disease care, and ensure the treatment room runs safely and effectively.

Responsibilities include:

• immunisations, wound care, health assessments and clinical procedures
• chronic disease, recalls and preventive health
• treatment-room workflows, stock and equipment
• vaccine management and cold-chain compliance
• infection prevention, emergency readiness and accreditation
• mentoring nurses and supporting quality improvement.

About you | you will have:

• current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a registered nurse
• substantial recent general practice or primary healthcare experience
• strong immunisation, wound-care and chronic disease skills
• sound knowledge of cold chain, infection prevention and clinical governance
• confidence leading people and improving systems
• excellent communication, organisation and patient-care skills.

Experience with Best Practice Premier is highly regarded. Current Queensland immunisation qualifications are strongly preferred.
